This time, as an environmental visual artist, I was inspired to address the current atmospheric and oceanic conditions. I believe that the warming ocean, combined with hazardous carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, is leading to extreme weather patterns that will shape our future. By floating my photographic collages in a two-component epoxy solution, I create a new dimension where invisible pollution becomes visible. My work illuminates the horrifying reality of pollution, yet it presents itself as a beautiful object. We are mesmerized by the comfort of high technology, even as we recognize its harm and the danger it poses to our planet.
