Each year, human activity pumps around thirty-five billion tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. While the oceans and plant life absorb about half, the rest lingers, altering our climate and disrupting ecosystems. In Pulse, I explore this environmental crisis through photography, sculpture, and installation, reflecting on the consequences of pollution and deforestation. As an environmental artist working in this field for over 40 years, I have dedicated my practice to documenting the intricate relationship between human actions and nature’s response.

Through my Time Capsules, I capture both the causes and effects of pollution, preserving visual evidence of our planet’s transformation. The massive loss of trees in the rainforest and the degradation of our fragile ecosystem are urgent matters that demand awareness and action. With PULSE, I aim to spark a deeper understanding of our planet’s sustainability, emphasizing that just as the Earth has a pulse, so too does our responsibility to protect it.
