Sustainable Nature Solution II: Reforestation
Solo Exhibition
Queens, NY
October 08, 2015 - January 12, 2016
In Sustainable Nature Solution, I explore the urgent need for reforestation and the fight against environmental pollution. Through illuminated light panels, I depict the Amazon rainforest as a living, breathing entity, with glowing heart shapes symbolizing its vital role in sustaining life. These hearts represent the pulse of the planet, a reminder that trees are the lungs of the Earth, producing the oxygen we need to survive.
The interplay of light and imagery in my work highlights both the beauty and fragility of nature. By embedding the heart motif within the dense rainforest, I emphasize the deep connection between human survival and the health of our ecosystems. The glowing effect of the panels reinforces the idea that nature itself is alive, resilient, and in constant need of protection. Each piece serves as both a poetic reflection and a stark reminder of what is at stake if we continue to exploit and destroy our forests.
This exhibition serves as both a visual meditation and a call to action—urging us to recognize trees as life-giving forces and to commit to preserving them for future generations.
